I wanna know why IMRC deletes are recommended when porting your intake? I don't see how, when the plates are open, they would restrict the airflow through the intake manifold any more than a throttle body plate would restrict airflow into the upper intake. Any thoughts? Would a ported intake and aftermarket tb setup make as much power with the IMRCs intact? If not, how much less?

I just got my IMRCs replaced, and don't wanna delete them, but I DO wanna port this intake.
