does anyone know were I can buy the center caps for cobra R rims? I am getting replicas, but want that nice red R with the cobra.:evil:

I "may" have a set for sale, if the guy that buys the wheels doesn't want the caps (he is using the R wheels for racing, so he may not care). See the thread in www.corner-carvers.com in the SALE/TRADE forum under "Cobra R wheels wanted"

Ford cracked down on the knockoff wheel companys using their center caps. I've seen em on ebay for over $100 for caps alone.....

It all depends on how badly you want the "original" Cobra-R center caps. They are hard to come by. There are some look alikes that are significantly cheaper, and if that is alright with you then you're set.

well, I was looking for all 4 caps... But now that I have the rims mounted.. The oe concepts caps don't look as bad as I thought they would. I don't know if it is worth $30 a cap! I might just live with them. People in Salem OR are still shocked by the car as it sits. There are not many Cobra's and cobras alike here. It is cool that my little black GT with all cobra body parts gets SOOO many stares.:evil:

I purchased knockoffs initially 2 yrs ago after looking at retail prices and before checking out gefracing. Then I bought my chrome y2kr from them and now another set from them. I spent 6hrs looking at rims and prices last night on the net and magazines and the originals were just as inexpensive if not less then knockoffs.
Sidenote, if you have the knock off caps, just get 4 circles of metal made, and use them. very simple and actually looks pretty good. took me about 20 minutes.
check my sig, 2001 GT, photos, I have photos of my homemade caps on the wheels, instead of a black cobra it is all chrome.

Holy smokes, I posted my reply, then read your reply. I forgot about them and thought I got hosed. But gefracing is cheaper, at least on the wheels. thanks for putting out other options and links.Mystic96GTX said:
