sorry if this a stupid question. i know my waste gate and bov need a vaccume source but is there a reccomended spot. my boost guage, brake booster hose and regulator take up the three on the back of the intake. also i dont have egr so i cant use those ports????

BOV needs vaccum, the wastegate only needs a boost signal.

Buy or make a vacuum manifold. Run one line to it and then hookup all the lines to the vacuum manifold.
hook wastegate into egr source on back of intake and t blowoff to your boost guage or hook it to one of the extra's on the vacuum tree on firewall.
the wastegate can't have a vacuum(sp) source,(I guess it is still vacuum, just can't be after the TB) it will tear the diaphragm (according to tial). This is my wastegate setup

that hose is from the WG and connects to the brass piece. My bov line is going to my fpr if I recall.

thanks, i should be finishing it up this weekend.
BACK FROM THE GRAVE. I have my wastegate vac line run to my turbo, this right? Also, where do i hook up BOV vac line? Will one of the lines coming off my intake work?

Yes and Yes. I moved mine from right before the t.b. to right after the compressor(closer the better on discharge side), and any vacuum line for the bov.

I had my BOV line run to my throtle body, im goning to move it to my intake.
I'm trying to figure out why people would source their wastegate from the tip of their turbo. Wouldn't it make more sense if you referenced it from the intake manifold? I would want 9lbs at the intake manifold....not before it goes through the intercooler and piping. I use the same vacuum/boost source for both my BOV and Wastegate (from the intake manifold)

That’s what many of us have been doing for years with no ill effects. It also has the tendency to reduce turbo lag a bit….as the wastegate will remain shut until the manifold see’s boost rather than the turbo outlet.

Alrighty, I was just hoping others were thinking on the same level as me...

I have one source from the intake manifold tee'ing off to the BOV and WG. They both work mighty fine. :)
I am trying to run vacuum lines for my BOV and wastegate on my 1999 mustang gt. I am trying to find a line in the intake manifold, but I just don't know what I'm looking for. Would anyone be able to show me what these lines look like?

Plugs in holes will lead to vacuume. Simple.

Wastegates need to have a boost signal, not vacuum, so a hole before the throttle body will be needed.
