I just got done putting new valve covers and gaskets on my 87 GT. I took it out for about a 10 mintue drive and the drivers side valve cover is leaking some oil onto the header causing it to smoke. So will it seal correctly after a while or am I going to have to take the valve cover off again and make sure it's aligned correctly? thanks, -josh
OH NO!!! Ditch the crappy cork. Get the factory Ford metal/rubber ones or the thick blue Moroso's. They are the best!! Sooner or later, you'll be a pro at getting that upper intake off and on!
Hahahaha, well I found the problem, I seemed to have done everything right except one thing, put all the bolts back in! I forgot to put the bolt that is nearest the firewall back in the valve cover so it was leaking out the back. Oops.
