i HAVE AN 88 GT, iT USED TO STALL OUT when I was driving it, but now I can finally troubleshoot it. I doesn't start, but it will crank. There is no spark, and the coil is good, the wires before the coil have been inspected and are good, my question is it in the distributor? If so is it the pick up coil.

Thanks Sean p

Module was good, coil was good looking for a press to replace the pick up.

Thanks for your help and hope it is the pick up.

First check this -

Turn the key to the ON position and check the voltage at the... I think its the green wire on the TPS (its been a while). You should have a little less than 1v. If you dont, then look to the Puter first. With these cars, not having spark extends past the typical dist/coil/pickup tests.

Check fuses - there is also a relay above the computer in the passenger side kick panel that controls the whole mix. When you turn your key on, you should also hear some relays click in the first second or 2. Your fuel pump should also prime for a second after you turn on the key.

Let us know!
