Got a 98 Gt and after going on a cruise and hitting some bumps the dash has started to tick a little when the car is around 5-20 mph. It does not do it all the time but when it does it almost sounds like a gear cog that is not seating right.. When you get it under a load it stops. Anyone got any ideas as to what this is. It sounds like its comming right behind the speedometer/rmp gauge.

Well, it might be the odometer gear starting to fail. "carradio.com" has a link on their site to speedo/odo gears (high quality, too). This is a fairly common problem on older Ford vehicles without electronic dashes.

Maybe the gears just need a little dab of grease? Try that first and see if the clicking goes away.
