when i'm driving and i let off the gas, the throttle sticks for about a second before dropping back down.

this is whether or not i have the clutch in. if i'm going along and then hit the clutch to shift, it jumps a little bit because the throttle is still on even though i have let off the gas

remedies? suggestions?

Check the routing of the throttle cable. It shouldn't make any extremely sharp bends. If it does move it around until it makes smooth, flowing bends. Also check the whole cable for missing pieces of the black covereing. Usually when a piece of the coverng is gone there is a fray in the same location.

Play with the return spring on the throttle body end. Alot of times the spring will bind and not allow the cable to completely relax. Try rotating it around until the cable will retract fully, and freely.

Make sure there is no other object around the throttle linkage that is interfering.
