I have a 1990 302 fox body. Engine is built . Bored 60 over. Biggest valves the stock heads could take. GT40 . GT40 intake yada yada. Runs mid tens on the juice. But I did away with the nos . First my high volume oil pump seized shearing the dizzy gear pin. Arp driveshaft. Same shaft reinstalled with new pump.drove 400 miles . Pump seized again . Twisted and broke arp shaft in half. Stock pump and new stock driveshaft. Drove 100 miles. This time the driveshaft rounded off at the dizzy. Stoped turning the pump . I caught it on the oil pressure gauge just as it started knocking. Why the hell does this keep happening all of the sudden never had a problem before?

What's in the oil pump when you take it apart?

Do you see anything in the filter when you cut it apart?

I would guess some type of alignment/vibration issue. Did you replace the dizzy or just the gear? I would start with a new Dizzy, make sure it mounts true and is aligned.
