hello guys,

I will soon build a 393W Stroker in my 1992 Mustang Coupe.

So my question is: I know the T5 is rated 330torque.

What will be the best option for me? Get a rebuild kit like G-Force for my T5? buy a Viper Spec T56 or other transmission that I dont know the name.

I want a transmission that can hold the power of my engine.

thx u.

P.S: do you think I can get a Viper Spec T56 in a junkyard then rebuild it , that will cost low $$$.?

probably going to have to spring for a Gforce T5, a Tremec TKO, or a Viper T56.

Price is gonna be pretty comperable out of the three (probacly will go TKO->Gforce->T56), the Gforce is the easiest to install, the TKO is probably the most proven, and the T56 has the most bells and whistles.

If it were me...I'd probably shoot for a Gforce T5 or maybe the TKO. The T56 has a bunch of PITFA install woes involved...

I couldn't agree more. Don't even THINK about wasting your time with a stock t5 with that kind of power.

Have you ever installed a t56? Its not as hard as you think. Alittle welding and thats about it.
