If you are going to run actual street radials, you're better off keeping them no lower than the spec on the tire you are running. You won't gain any appreciable traction at the strip by lowering tire pressure on radials since the sidewalls are pretty stiff for the most part. You'll probably end up loosing some ET/MPH by going to low. Not to mention that you start overworking a radial tire from friction heat if it is not at a decent pressure.

If you really need the traction, get yourself a set of extra rear wheels for a couple bucks and order some McCreary's. They won;t hit as hard as an ET Street, but they do work great for the price.
