Hey guys, old member under a new user name. Ive slowly been working all the bugs from the efi swap and shes running as good as she ever has but its definitely not 100%. It seems like every time i shut the car off the eec forgets its tune? I recently replaced 2 leaking capacitors inside the eec thinking that would fix it. However it did seem to shorten the amount of time it takes to start running good after a start up. Cold starts how ever take for ever to get it to run right! The symptom's it has on startup are runs weAK and won't accept more than half throttle without poping out the intake. On a hot start it takes less than a minute to come out of this now but still takes several minutes after warming up to operating temp. Even when its running its best its still not 100% it feels down on power and it pulls harder at 3/4throttle than it does at full throttle like theres no good value in the wide open fuel tables?or like my 75mm TB is too much? Also while idling every 20 seconds the idle drops 200 rpm and vacum drops from 17 to 12 every 20 seconds like clock work like the a/c is on, but i dont have a/c? It does this with the timing locked at 32 and the iac unpugged? Also engone seems to want a lot of timing, I've ran as high as 22 base plus whatever the eec adds when u plug the spout back in, I felt I could have went higher? Right now I have it locked out at 32 on 93 octane and don't think I've ever heard ping. But maybe my combo needs more timing tfs stage 1 cam and SVO aluminum heads and probably low compression. fuel milage seems terrible and smells fumey/rich? bought my car it had a new .060 over 302 economy short block with cast pistons, SVO Y302 heads, f cam, crane cobra 1.7 roller rockers, what appears to be trick flow valve springs, edelbrock intake with a holly 650 dp. Well the problems started when I swapped it back over to efi with an explorer intake, A9L eec, 24 lb injectors and matching pro-m bullet 77mm MAF, 75mm TB, egr delete with resistor due to non internal egr intake, swapped cams to a used tfs stage 1. Car has new motorcraft tps and ntk o2 sensors. ANY help please, I don't know what else it could be??!
