Before put the AOD in I was wondering if anyone knew how badly it will hurt/help my cars performance? Id say it runs low 14's now and I dont really want to do anything to hurt that.

Ill be putting a Transgo shift kit in it, and possibly a 2000rpm B&M lockup stall converter. How does that compare to a stock C4 trans performance wise?

Will that proably bring me to mid 14s?(engine is an 86 ho with E7 heads, converted to carb, 600cfm carter, performer intake, 1in spacer)

No , no , no. I dont know much about c4's so Ill give you my .02 on the AOD. If you have the $ , contact Lentech. If you dont have that much $ , but want a decent trans thats going to put you into the seat and smoke the tires go with these following parts.

www.baumannengineering.com for the shift kit
www.edgeracingconverters.com for the converter
www.b&mracing.com for the trans cooler.
www.converter.com IF you have a little bit more $

With those following parts your AOD will be a night and day difference. I WOULDNT recommend the B&M converters to anyone , but thats me. Good luck.
