Im in the process of taking the stock shorties and h-pipe off my 95.

I gotta say. the collector bolts are a PITA. They are all rusted and not budging. I heated them up and put about 250# of torque on them and still nothing.

I guess its time to cut the bolts.

before you cut them, go get some Penetrating Blaster. It has a yellow cap and it looks like something that would be sold on TV at 4am. That stuff worked wonders on my exhaust bolts, though I did have to cut one of them. PB is sold at Autozone around here.

As a suggestion, remove the stock H pipe, then remove and replace the headers before you put the new H or X pipe on. The header to collector bolts kept hitting on my car and made it super tough to get the rear most header to head bolt started.

I know what you mean. I'm in the habit of using stainless steel bolts on anything exhaust related, including the header bolts. Saves a ton of time next time I have to take it apart.
