Hey:

I am installing a set of AFR 165's... I was told that the seat pressure on the springs is 125lbs... Is this sufficient to run the car up to 6000 RPM with an E-cam without having a valve float problem????

Thanks Corral....

Hey Idlechater, I cannot say for sure but I'm running a cam with a 550 lift with 135 on the seat and have'nt seen any prob's. The E-cam only has .498 so you should be good. As I said though I'm not for sure, does anyone else have any idea?

Hey Guys:

I appreciate the response... Would I have a problem if I were to use my buddies custom cam... Here are the specs....

Lift: 546/528

Let me know if I should have concerns....

Coil bind is when the coils of the spring contact each other.... Very bad!
Check it with a feeler guage at max cam lift....or just ask AFR what lift the springs are good for.

hey Idlechater, Just to add to Dark93, you should see a minimum of an extra 0.060" of travel before coil bind. Also when doing this test make sure your lifters are pumped up so as not to take any lift out. ;)
