If this manifold is the one we did for Thornton then it is already proven and 100% ported well despite what people are saying based on the pictures. Seeing it and running it in person tells the real story. It had a bolted together runner flow of 326cfm and the runners length tuned to his combo rpm. 👍

That's what I worry about with a ported lower, how does it flow versus the upper. I'd like an intake ported for my 347, not an Explorer(I have one from you already), but hopefully with thoughtful care about tapering the ports sizes from the inlet and down, somewhat evenly.

I have an untouched Explorer upper plus that lower, and a used raw Edelbrock RPM II, and the one I want ported to use.
The stock length upper is the larger restriction once the lower is ported. What I'd like to see is a test of a reverse taper 1262 size ported lower vs a 1250 port ported lower just to get an idea of the true impact. Never seen that test before and we've never done it either.

#786 is NOT our Stage 3 it's our entry level Stage 2 done in late 2019 fyi. It DID NOT receive our cut, shortened and welded upper. We have a detailed order tracking system to be able to verify everything we port. We even have the name of the original customer (Ricky). At the time the order was placed the original customer paid $250.00 for our stage 2 on that Cobra gt40 manifold. So this is a comparison of our entry level stage 2 which flows very well and designed for street/strip applications from 1,500-6,300rpm plus.
The guy definitely didn’t pay $250, and the upper has been cut and welded back together on the side.

I also don’t think it says 786. I think it’s 756, but it’s tough to tell.

This is my intake and has been cut I'm 100% sure. Think you just miss read numbers.

Sounds like no reverse taper and shortened runner length. That should make it more interesting.

I’ve seen pictures of a stock appearing Vic Jr carb intake that went back and forth between Billy Glidden and Wilson manifolds a few times. Next to my stock Vic Jr the difference was absurd. You can do about anything you want with enough properly executed weld and time.

wouldnt it be more useful to do measurements in inches in a case like this in 'Merica?
I wanted to spice it up a little bit.
