SN 95 hub swap

I swapped my 93 hubs for a set of SN 95 hubs in spindles. I’ve done this before and I do not recall the alignment being this far off by swapping spindles. Anyone have any ideas or is this a matter of setting toe to compensate for the the different spindles?

235's definitely will run narrow on a 8.5" wheel and look stretched. 245's can sometimes look stretched on a 9" wheel depending on individual tire specs.

so a 245 on a 8.5" rim will be a bit subjective as to if it looks stretched or not.

Ugh! I wish there were a way to visualize this. Good thing I have connections in the tire business.😂 sounds like you prefer the 245s over the 255s
255's would fit better, but it all depends on how low you are and clearance in the wheelwell. A 255/40/18 is 26.0" so a tiny bit larger in OD. Will it make a huge difference? Unfortunately it's going to be dependent on each car's setup.

What are you running?

245/40/18 on an 18x9. It might be a little on the stretch look side. No pics unfortunately. Just did a test fit and then took them off to work on the car this winter.
You feel like the 245/40R, a little stretched on the 9” wheels?
Not my wheels but something i found at work online.

But simialr to this. This is a 245/40/18 on an 18x9. I'm ok with it, but i wouldn't mind a little bit wider. On an 8.5" rim it might be ok

I like it!
I would go with a 255/35/18 on the front. Its a little shorter than stock so it will give you more clearance and less chance of rubbing.

To figure out tire height, don't need an online calculator, the equation is really easy and every phone has a calculator.

(Section width) x (profile as a decimal) / 12.5. Then add rim size. So using above tire as example:

255 x 0.35 / 12.5 = 7.14

Then add rim size of 18 and you get 25.14"

Be sure that you have the 1994/95 spindles, and not the 1996-04 spindles. The later spindles have the TRE mount offset a lot, which creates too much bump steer, and it cannot be fixed properly with a bump steer kit. If that's what you have, you can correct the toe in simply by adjusting it as Mike described. But the angle of the TRE's will not be parallel to the control arms. That's the test, the TRE and LCA should be parallel, a line from the inner joint to the outer joint of each, should be parallel.
I have 96-04 spindles without a bump steer kit, but relocated the control arm up 0.5" and lowered the steering rack with offset bushings. My TRE and LCA are almost perfectly parallel.

I tried 235/55 and settled on 245/40. I’m please with the stance. I still need to make one final adjustment.
