I have to ask....some of the most powerful production sports cars feature manual transmissions with aluminum bellhousings. Some of these cars run the upper rpm range quite often. Why don't they have steel bellhousings straight from the manufacturer?

Another question....
Holley/Quicktime put out a video bragging about the tight tolerances/precision built into their steel bellhousings. Why does one have to align them for fitment? Ford sure didn't worry about it.

I didn't have to do anything to either one of my QT bellhousings
