I am in the process of redoing the interior of my '87 GT and have removed the heater/AC box from underneath the dash. All of the AC stuff is coming out too, so I am wondering what those who have done this have come up with to fill the large holes left in the firewall by the heater inlet, heater core tubes, and AC inlet. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Get a sheet of aluminum, I use .032", and cut some pieces to size to put over the holes. With some of the holes you can use existing screw holes to hold the plate, others will require new holes and sheet metal screws.
