Would I need to change out the dash harness if I was planing on going with fuel injection in an 86 V6 Mustang? Or would I just need the engine harness/computer and all that crap. Also would the K-member need to be changed on the V-6 cars? What about an 85? Thanks for any help I'm considering buying a nice 86 Vert and throwing the 5.0 in it.

Just did a V8 swap on my V6..
All the 86 V6's are CFI, the harnesses are different from the EFI ones. Youll need 2 new wiring harness's - the 'front' wiring harness which connects to the headlights, temp/oil sensor, and goes into the interior by the dash. And if you want to go with EFI youll of course need a new computer wiring harness, and also a 02 sensor harness.

The K member is the same. It was only different on the straight 6 engines.

I would go with a Carbd engine. No need to buy more wiring..Just a lot cheaper and easier all around.

Check out the carbd ford message board link below for helpful advice :) good luck
