Hi, i just bought a used 3550 and it seems that my 2nd gear syncros are in need of replacing(grrr). Im thinking about sending it to liberty to get it pro shifted. Does anyone know what it costs? I have heard $300-400, is this true?

Also, does anyone have any input as to how it will be on the street? It is just a weekend car, but it has to be able to be ok for the occasion 2 hour road trip and a night on the town.

Are the benefits worth the the trouble? Will it up shift and down shift like a normal tremec if i double clutch? Will the trans wear quicker? Will it be stronger?

Plese expalin this as much as you can, i dont fully understand what getting it pro-shifted entails. Ive heard a bit about this and im interested to learn more, so please excuse my ignorance.

Thanks,
Shaun
