I was wondering why the passenger side B-pillar of some 91, 2 and 3s have a bad looking lump under the paint up high on the pillar! Is this a problem or something that is normal where the top is welded on????? It almost looks like rust under the paint!

Any comments? Really need to know!

Thanks:)

Are you talking about the rear quarter panel to roof seam? Normally it's the C piller but anyways, yes, that's where the factory seam is. It's quite interesting to see how poorly Ford filished some of them. It's just a big wad of body solder (lead type stuff) paddled on and sent on down the assembly line.

When ever I get aroudn to repainting my own car I plan to file it down flat and make it look presentable. Ford apparently wasn't into looks on some cars.
