What would you guys wish pro m would offer for our systems?
Software updates or supporting mod (like the new trigger set up)
Let your imagination go wild! List them up!

I think it would be cool to be able to switch between two tunes just using toggle switch.
We could have normal street tune and race tune on the fly /without needing laptop
I’d mostly use it for timing based on available gas quality and possibly different 2step, launch control and traction control settings.
Or it could be used to have a “Valet parking” tune with flip of switch.
Not a huge deal as we can have as many tunes as we want and can change within minutes but it would be nice to be able to swap without laptop.

Still waiting for my data logging without the laptop. It should be activated by the end-user choice of a trigger.
Example: Once I reach 3000rpms (user adjustable) and TPS is at 4.6vdc (WOT and also user adjustable) data logging should be active. In this case, that's two triggers but one trigger is fine.

Thanks

That reminds me.
I’ve got another wish.
-To be able to data log ALL parameters by default. (Capture all data)
Vs, selecting individual ones.
After all, we can choose to view which parameters we want to see after the recording session.
..there just always seems to be something I forgot (or diddnt think to) to record after the fact.

All parameters is quite a lot. I think you’d have a more difficult time picking out and viewing the ones you want.

Oh, and John Janek will have a field day with this post....... 😂
Ha! I’ve thought about posting some things, but in the end I’ve decided to pass. I send ideas directly to Chris periodically and I consider them private for Pro M. If Chris likes them, he implements them.

That’s cool pro m actually listenes to its users!

Another hobby of mine is metal detecting. I finallywent with one of the best detectors on the market and I’ve been blown away with results.
Then every few years they come out with new updates and it’s like I’ve got a new detector and a lot of the ideas/updates I believe come from forum “wish lists”
So hence my thread.

I had to really think hard about what I’d want that the system doesn’t already offer.
But I’m sure there are some great ideas still left to be imagined

Alright. I can’t sleep, and Michael called me a chicken **** today for not saying anything, so here is one - that Michael doesn’t like.

I think some people would benefit from an update that downloaded a handful of premade workspaces for users. Think how the instructions download to the Help menu and how there are some premade recorder sets placed in your scope folder. Same could happen with some workspace files getting downloaded into the workspace folder.

How many times do we see posts like “Where do I find the Fuel PI gauges?” Just choose a “Fuel” workspace and up they come along with maybe the base fuel table in one tab and gauges for desired Lambda, and Bank 1 and Bank 2 Lambda and Adaptive Fuel tables in another. Other candidates could be workspaces for Spark, Idle, Flex Fuel, Methanol, and Nitrous with commonly used calibrations and variables for each preloaded.

Could even have a workspace for first time users called Setup. This would include the MAF Transfer Function, Engine parameters like bore and stroke, wheel circumference, trans type and gear ratios, and the other few things I’m forgetting at the moment.

Dual bank knock sensors would be nice. Wide band O2 controller built into the PCM to eliminate the need for a separate wide band controller.

I want a way to disabled injectors or coils from the laptop. Also I would like a cylinder balance test. My 1993 Ford tempo can do this with an OBD 1 (one) cheapo scan tool. This can tell you if you have a weak cylinder. SInce i am only running one wideband it would be helpful to help figure out what side an issue is on.

First thing I'd like to see is full NOS fuel enrichment through the injectors to have a truly dry system. The Haltech does it, for example.

Another neat thing the Haltech does is a timing sweep for tuning. You really need a load bearing dyno to take advantage, but it looks like a time saver. Especially if you have a knock sensor...

handful of custom 0-5v channels, so you can log whatever you wish
(my old school anderson pms series 4 had x8 channels that one could customize, and i was able to check things like boost drop across my intercooler, temp drops across my intercooler, turbo back-pressure, and trans temps)

data-logging triggers would be helpful
(again "old school" anderson pms had this)

data-logging without laptop would be awesome with some plug in stick that you can use at a later data if need be.
(again "old school" anderson pms had this)

knock sensor ability
