The base map will work in regular MS2 installations as well, as long as you're running the latest MS2/Extra release code, V2.1.0. We spent a good bit of time dialing in the closed loop idle for a relatively stock Mustang. A more heavily modified one (big cam or lightweight flywheel) may need some tweaking. The pros/cons here are the cost is a bit lower for the DIYPNP, but you have to assemble it yourself and jumper it to match your car. We've documented that process for you though and included a base map to get you started.

Not to muddy the waters, but we also released a new product line of Breakout Boards/Harness adapters, and we have an EEC-IV model for this too. This product is aimed at allowing people to build a professional looking harness adapter for a couple hundred different vehicles, EEC-IV's included, to connect any manufacturers EMS up to their car. I'm like 2 minutes away from ordering the assembled PNP MS2 kit! I just have a few questions...
1. my car is a 94, will the adapter need to be repinned?
2. are these typically in stock and ship out quickly?
3. will the preloaded map be pretty close for the 94? I understand i'll need to change settings on account of my injector size and it being turbo.

I'm just pumped about ditching the MAF and dealing with the tuning issues that come with it.

Dude MS is def worth it if you are tired of the MAF issues. You will notice right away there is a big difference in the way the car drives and feels once your are tuned

They're kept in stock, but on a '94 there are a couple potential issues.

1. You'll need cooling fan outputs added.
2. There is no provision for A/C control.
3. You'd need a manual transmission.

We are working on getting a set of harnesses made up for '94-'95s with the fan control. It won't support the A/C or automatics though.

I have a 5 speed and have ditched the AC so I'm not too worried about that.
My concern was that I thought I read somewhere the injectors were pinned differently on the 94's. Would you know if that is indeed the case? Also, there is a provision on the megasquirt that could control the fans correct? Just not part of the harness I thought...

Well, either way thanks for the help and I placed the order for the kit last night, so hopefully I'll be working on it next week. I'm stoked!!!

FYI we've got harnesses being built now for the 94-95 cars, with fans, no a/c and no auto tranny. They'll take a couple weeks to have here and ready to sell if all goes well.

Sorry, maybe i'm reading it wrong, but I don't see where it specifies the pin changes for the injectors. It looks like the V8's use
Injector bank 1 INJ1 13, 15, 42, 58
Injector bank 2 INJ2 12, 14, 52, 59

and the 4 bangers use
Injector bank 1 INJ1 58
Injector bank 2 INJ2 59

I googled my harness (94 gt) vs. 93, and according to the one I saw it looked like the same pins for the injectors??

Right now we have solder it yourself DIYPNP kits but no assembled plug and play systems for the 2.3 Turbo. We just dyno tested a 2.3 on a DIYPNP, and we may go there with adapter harnesses (or possibly a regular MSPNP).

The engine size and injector size are not stored in the tune, so if you haven't put anything in there, it goes to default values. The tune itself is based on 302 cubic inches and 19 lb/hr injectors.

since I already have the 87-93 adapter harness in my car and have repinned it for the injector differences for the 94, could you give me some info on what I need to do for my fan control?
Can I just add 2 wires between the DB end and the EEC end? I cant seem to find which pins on the EEC harness are for fan control on the schematic I have. Thanks
