I just got a C&L Plenum and 75mm Accufab in the mail today. I noticed the inside of the plenum is pretty rough. Do you think it would be worth while to take a grinder to it and smooth it out? Or would it just be a waste of time?

I used a 3" dia flap sander (from Sears) in a electric drill. It fits neatly into both ends of the plenum and you can clean up that nasty casting flash in a couple of minutes.

I cleaned it up alittle in there too and I have not instaled it yet. I don't think it really matters but I like cleaner.

Smoothing out the rough cast will improve the air flow....
Kinda like sucking thru a straw with small sand particals glued to the side walls of the straw.......then remove the sand from the straw (aka= Flash or rough cast) and try sucking thru the straw again...

I port STOCK upper intake that produce MORE horsepower that the C&L units......not knocking the C&L units or their owners....but I just think they're over-rated.
