I'm not familiar with the 5L so much and I keep hearing different #'s on this combo.

92 LX AOD
AFR 165's stage 1
Trickflow Heat intake
Trickflow stage 1 cam/ custom?
1.6 rickers
Longtubes
H pipe
pulleys



Car already has art carr shift kit and 3200 stall( non lock up ) as well as 3.73's and that is it. LOW LOW mileage car very clean.

On DR's I'd hope for a high 12 and my guess on RW, again have no clue on the 5L but 270-280 maybe?

What do you guys think??????????????????????????????

I doubt high 12's with a aod....especially with 73's...you might hit high twelve with slicks and lauching at 5-6000 grand with 4.10's// at the track...drag raidials?? no way...

The combo that was posted above could make it in the high 12's with a AOD without a problem even on drag radials. Without knowing exactly what porting etc. I would say 280-300 RWHP is not out of the question.

See my sig. Your car should go 12.40s-12.30s with afr 165s and a custom cam on drag radials.

Curious how the tranny is holding up?
Any rw #'s?


I figure with 280rw a high 12 would be easy. With my 99 and 310 via the 8psi it ran 12.8 at 109 no prob..1.9 60ft. Just 73's and the V2 kit. That car was also an auto with NO upgrades at the time.

Alot of notch's popped up lately, but there is that one I've been eye'n for a yr. now. He may be more negotiable after the summer:) Why arn't you getting a lil notch to use on the weekend?

Don't worry, I will have another soon. Plus I know which one it will be. It's an LX hatch but super clean and semi-stock.

A hatch...looking to slow down...lol

I've basically accepted a CLEAN SUPER CLEAN notch is an easy $9-$11 g's. I realize for $7 more I could get another 99+ and have better handling and so on. But I know it would just be another headache. And I will not bolt the juice on. And another blower makes me wanna puke and save $10 more just in case...no way.

You got it backwards 1.77 on drag radials and 1.74 on slicks. I launch off idle and let the converter flash. The converter is a PI 2800 rpm stall.

The tranny is a 90,000 mile unit that came stock in the car. So far so good.
