Hello,

When is it necessary to run studs instead of pedestal mount rockers? I have a set of TFS TW pedestal heads that I would like to use on my stroker motor. I will be running a lot of boost on this motor.

Can these heads be converted to Stud mount? How much should I expect to pay for this mod?

Thanks,

Rick

I just had a set of Edelbrocks converted to stud mount. With ARP rocker studs, guide plates, machining and valve spring testing and inspection the bill came to $300.00

Thanks for the info John. Aside from the better adjustability, why did you convert?

Thanks,

Rick

I converted them because I was going to the CompCams stainless steel rocker. It was also a PITA to adjust the pedestal mounts. Also if I ever want to go to a solid roller cam, the valve train is compatible.
