Talk about a frustrating experience. Based on a thread here, I decided to replace my ignition switch in my 92 vert. I bought one at Checker auto, and got down to work. Was making the electrical connection to complete the job and I caught the wire. With little force, the wire popped completely out of the plastic connector. Tried to repair it but it's just a POS.

Then I look at the packaging on the switch - Made in Mexico.

Does anyone know if the switches sold at the dealership are american made or whether they're overseas junk as well?
