I recently installed a new spec 2 clutch kit, new pilot bearing, and new fork. When I first turned the car on and tried to put it in 1st gear it wouldn’t go in (it can’t go into any gear). As I attempt to put it in 1st the car starts moving forward, but can’t put it in gear. Everything as far as cable and quadrant are stock. I also tried pulling on the clutch pedal, then depressing it many times with no luck. Also the cable is loose at the fork.
I have a new clutch cable and URP triple hook quadrant and firewall adjust. I’m eventually going to install them but just wanted to drive car this weekend.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is too much slack in the clutch cable and it is not letting the clutch fully disengage. Sounds like you need to go ahead and install that adjustable cable/quadrant before you hurt your tranny.
