Need some advice with on problems with my new ride..HELP

I traded a 90 GT I had for a 91GT yesterday. It's a nice car, but has 149,000 miles on stock everything. Here's the problems, please help with any of them you can. thanks

1 Speedometer jumps all over the place even at a slow roll and when i'm running 75, it shows i'm running 100??

2 The clutch cable is 3 days old and it feels like it's dragging already? What is the correct way it's supposed to be routed around the motor mount?

3 The car won't idle when it's first started on a cold day, and it won't start back without spinning it over 10 times after it's warm, and when it does start it blows gas smoke out the exhaust?? Is this the ACT sensor?

4 I tried every way to run the codes on the car with a SnapOn code scan computer and when i run a KOEO test the scanner goes dead as soon as i turn the switch on in the car, and it does the same for a KOER test. Is my EEC dead?? I know the scanner is working i tried it on another mustang.

5 Also, this car rides like sh!t. It bounces all over the road like the struts and shocks are wore out, but it also rides very harsh like it's got lowering springs, although it doesn't. Where should I begin?

Well, somebody probably put some gears in it and never changed the speedo gear. IMHO it's either got 4.10's and it used to have 3.08's or it's got 3.73's and it used to have 2.73's. As for the speedo jumping all over the place it's either a bad speedo cable OR, somebody did attempt to put a speedo gear in it and they put the wrong one in and it's getting chewed up.

Not sure but it's a nice smooth route the whole way down, no kinks or tight bends.

Could be. Could be a lot of things but ACT and ECT are top of mind.

I really doubt it's dead but it may have a wiring issue and if it's out of the loop that might explain your driveability problems.

I'm not sure how to check it other than to say remove the passenger side kick panel and make sure it's connected securely. Also dig around on the drivers side of the engine bay by the fender, to the rear of the battery, and look for a pigtail with a round black plug on the end. I've always understood this to be the main EEC power and that if that plug's not there it's as good as disconnecting the battery as far as the EEC is concerned.

No-brainer there...struts and shocks, plain and simple. If all you want is stock replacement go ahead and get some KYB's to tide you over for a couple years. Cheap and effective with the stock springs. If you want to do more suspension work soon down the road then pass right over the KYB's and get something suited for your future plans now, you won't regret it.

Well, the hot start problem is most likely leaky injectors. I had the same problem.

Why did you trade?
I hope you cheated the pants off that guy and your old stang was crap. It sounds like this one needs a lot of work.

The reason i traded was because I had a white 90 GT that needed 2nd gear replaced, needed paint, and looked like **** compared to this one. And I traded even. I have to car sold tomorrow, so i guess i'll let the new guy deal with the problems.
thanks
