i bought the trickflow spring kit and my machinist didn't like the shims that came with the kit. he said they don't fit snug and would bounce around to much. the ones that came off it were a press on deal with part of it up around the valve guide piece. anyone know where i could find them or something that fits better than the tfs ones? he can't get em in the small quantity that i need, and the local ford dealer doesn't have em.

i emailed trickflow and the spring upgrade kit is for the e7 head and they don't make a kit for the gt-40(they have different seat sizes and installed heights). the dimensions for shims i need are .86 ID and 1.5 OD. i've searched and searched for anything close to it, to no avail. i found stuff that i can use but it requires machining of the heads, which i'm trying to avoid. have any of you with iron gt-40's had this complication or am i the only one?
