You are the second person to say that to me today.Don't quote me, but if I remember correctly that is the control box for the air bag system.
Not sure if the car has one, but the pressure is normal and strong...Sounds like a low oil pressure buzzer or something but I dunno for sure what is your oil pressure at?
Hey we are both in NJ so I could easily meet up and pay ya cash. PM sentcheck your local junk yards and "U-Pull Its". If you can't find one locally let me know, I'll pull one out of a car around here and ship it to ya for the costs.
Thansk for the info.... The light is good and is not flashing and the dealer testing the system says all is well. We think its as simple as the box. If by chance it was something else the new box would beep as well.It is important to find out why it is beeping.
Simply replacing the control module may not solve the problem.
It could be that the back-up power supply has gone bad which is another little blue box in the dash above the glove box.
Is the air bag light blinking on the dash?? If so many times in a row is it blinking??
If it is not blinking, make sure that the bulb in the dash is good.
You need to figure out why it is beeping before replacing it.
OK heres the deal, when I start up and drive my Stang I get this crazy beeping sound. Sometimes constant, sometimes random... Its very different then the door chim sound. Anyway I dug into the dash behind the AC controls and found this medium sized blue electronic box. When I disconnect the right side plug it stops beeping. It is a factory Ford part????
I dont know how to post pics so I can tell you what the part numbers on it read. If anyone can tell me what this is if its important I would be so greatful, this damn beeping noise must stop...
