i am in the building up an 8.8 rear for my coupe..it will bw a street/strip car.....carbed car vicjr intake....afr185 heads only has a 509 lift cam lunati...it is the systemaxll cam (had it just laying around)....i might spray the car a little...it will soon get a 347 after the rest of the car is done.....i was thinking that i should get a 3.90 ratio(motive gear)will that be to much should i just go 3.47....this is not a daily driver:evil:

if you plan on runing slicks at the track go with the 3.90's You'll have great bite from the hole

if your going to be on street tires/drag radials most of the time I'd suggest 3.73's

With an engine like that a 4.10 may even work. Depending on how "street friendly" you want it. Most people I know run 3.73's or 4.10's in their 5 spd cars. Im not sure of the quality of gear that Motive makes. When I swap mine Im using Ford parts as everyone claims how nice of a setup they are and easier to install. :)
