I am going to my first NASA event at Gingerman this weekend. I have a fairly stock Mustang GT w/ Kumho 712's. Around what pressure should I start my tires out at (cold)? Around what pressure should I look for them to be at warm? I did a search, but couldn't find anything but Auto-x info.
Thanks,
Jon

Try 36 f and 32 r for starters.

More importantly...look at your tires after each session. Particularly watch the fronts to make sure they are not rolling over onto the sidewalls. If they are go up 3 or 4 pounds (much smaller increments for racing tires) and check after the next session.

Log your hot tire pressures right after each session. I wouldn't worry about them at this juncture. You are not likely to heat them up too much.

Tune each tire individually. You don't need to end up with both front tires at the same pressure.

If you need to loosen up one end of the car add tire pressure...if you need more grip go down a bit...(assumes you get it roughly right in the first place before you start tuning)...

hope this helps...
