Hello,

I assembled an MSII 3.0 for TFI with MSD for a 5.0 Mustang. I followed the directions on DIY's website for the MSD. I do not get any RPM when checking with the Stim. I am using DIY's base tune and everything else works fine on the stim except RPM.

Will the RPM still show on the stim without the MSD hooked up? I have tripple checked all my connections and jumpers and it all seems right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need to hook the MSD to the Stim. Let's test the opto input circuit. With the Megasquirt powered up, apply 12 volts to pin 24 or TachSelect, and check the voltage on the TSEL jumper with a voltmeter. You should read zero volts. Next, ground pin 24 so it has no volts on the input circuit, and check TSEL's voltage again. You should see 5 volts there. Let me know what you find.
