First Post!
Hello,
Now that my son is old enough to start driving - he is interested in learning/turning wrenches and I am looking forward to getting back having some hotrod fun from my younger days (85 GT in my day).
We have a 92 F150 with 5.0 - we would like to convert from a speed density to a MAF ecu system in order to have more options for go-fast parts. I understand the A9P is the preferred product for an automatic vehicle. These are proving difficult to come by. After spending way too much time looking for a decent option, I ran across some options on eBay. These used units are pricy - but I don't know the condition. I also ran across some Ebay listings for rebuilt ECU's - does anyone have any experience with these? I did additional digging and it appears the same Ebay rebuilt ECU's are available thru Autozone as well - but color me skeptical. Blue Streak Remanufactured Engine Control Computer ECC1666
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with these? Any other recommendations?
Thanks in advance for your help!
