I'm getting to do a cam swap on a 91' 5.0 and want to know what kind of lube to use when putting the cam in. I searched and read about people using regular motor oil and cam specific lube, which I thought was for non-hydrolic cams. What do you guys recommend?

Use assembly lube, which will break down once oil starts getting in there. Don't use white lithium grease, or any other heavy duty grease because they don't break down and get absorbed.

I always use Lucas oil treatment..This is the best assembly lube you could possibly use..It is Very slick and will break down and mix in with the oil right after the initial startup cycle..You can get it at most Parts stores like Autozone or Advanced auto..
