How does it differ from a standard spring shock/strut set up ...

I have an idea, but I have never seen one.

What are the real advantages ?

Thanks !!

A picture is worth...

The advantages are:

1. The ride hieght and corner weights are easily adjusted by screwing the colar up and down the threaded body of the shock

2. The spring is considerably lighter then a conventional spring

3. The load is removed from the control arm so a lighter part can be used and the bushings are able to articulate easier.
