Ok I have been building custom boxes and installing systems for a long time but I have always had a supervisor over me kind of helping me with how to wire things. As far as manufacturing he could not touch my trade but the wiring of the subs and amps and the loads they were carrying confused me sometimes. I know if you tie like 2 8 ohm subs together it brings their load down to 4 ohms...which then you can look at the ratings on your amp to determine how many watts you are getting on that ohm load. Can someone just throw a few examples at me.

best thing I ever did was use a multimeter. The length of wire, guage, connectors etc all can effect the ohm load. Not to mention some amps prefer to be alittle above or below their suggested load rating. So I would call the amp manufacturer directly and ask them how they would hook up the specific combo you have selected.
