I have a 2003 Cobra with low miles. It has been sitting for about 5 months after a mild front end accident. After getting everything fixed, it was started for the first time last week and now has coolant leaking from the rear of the motor - or at least it appears to be leaking from the rear. The shop thinks it's freeze plugs, but I doubt it personally. Any suggestions to check where this is coming from?

Check the valley of the block. Could be the coolant tube.

Also check the rear coolant tube on the drivers side head (also the rear). There is a metal tube there that has a gasket.

Other than that I can't think of where coolant is near the rear of the motor.

Thanks Mark for the tips! One quick question: Can you explain more about the "valley" of the block? Do you mean the line(s) that runs along the top of the engine?

The valley is the top of the engine block between the heads. The intake sits over it. There is a coolant tube that runs underneath. Many cases is because of the heat, coolant leaks are most frequent here than anywhere else...
