Hey all,

I am tossing in a TREMEC 3550 with a Lakewood Scatter Shield / Bell housing, this one specifically -> http://www.lakewoodindustries.com/P...jID=152&minID=1521&selection=0&minselection=0

Anyways, I was reading the alignment instructions, and it states to move the flywheel with the dial indicator attached to check the clearances. How should I go about turning the flywheel? Any other suggestions while I am installing this monster?

Here is what the instructions state: http://www.lakewoodindustries.com/pdf/BELLHOUSINGALIGN.pdf

Anyone know if I can use the stock bolts from what I have when I took out the T5 and Regular Bellhousing when mounting everything back up?

Thanks in advance!

You can turn the motor using the bolt that holds the balancer to the crankshaft. It would be easier to turn if you remove the sparkplugs.

You might be able to use the stock bolts though my bet is they're too long. The stock bellhousing has some thick bosses where the bolts go through. A steel unit is probably thinner and could use shorter bolts. Some units come with bolts.

Yeah, I'll have to use the crank method b/c the scatter will be on hiding the flywheel. Regarding the bolts, good point! I'll have to check and pick some up.
