Just got a 1999 with a KB 2.1 on it. Was driving and ran it through 3rd gear. When I stopped again the vac boost gauge was not showing any vacuum. And the fuel pressure was registering higher than normal at idle. Looked under the hood and the supercharger bypass is staying open so I know the car is pulling no vacuum. Runs perfectly fine. Where should I start looking for what is wrong? Sprayed some brake clean in a few areas to see if it idled up and nothing.

The engine would not run perfectly fine if it had no vacuum. I think your vacuum/boost gauge has had the vacuum line come off and chances are the bypass valve is tied into the same hose.

Found it. Started disconnecting different vacuum components and found the sc bypass valve to be defective. Pull the line off and plug it and the vacuum goes up to where it should be. Now can I get a replacement actuator somewhere like a parts store or only at Kenne Bell. I read somewhere on KB that they use a Mercedes bypass.
