my issue..

Trunk is a bitch to open. I have a cobra with a spoiler.

my assumptions have it that all mustangs are hard to open, can someone confirm this OR are my trunk struts bad?

My assumptions are lead to me going to the junk yard and picking up 4 sets or struts and the trunk is still a pain to open, however, it DOES stay open.

My assumtion is that Ford designed the struts to keep the trunk open, NOT help lift assist the trunk, correct?

if this assumtion is said and confirmed true, I will source out stronger struts and R&D and see what helps and make a new thread if anyone is as sick of it as I am.

The junkyard struts aren't likely to be much better than the ones you took out. And as the temperature drops for winter (not so much in FL) it's worse than when it's hot. New replacement struts will restore things.
