I got the car home the other night and the temp was getting high. I checked out the engine after it cooled off and I tried to spin the fan around but it appeared to be locked down. I assume its the fan motor that has seized, just wanted opinions from others. Thanks...

yes, same thing happened to my car, i could barely turn the fan motor by hand, it was shot. I fixed it, and then a few months later got a letter from Ford saying there was a recall on that part and they would fix it for free. Go get the recall done if you havn't already, they add in a circuit breaker and will replace your fan motor if it hasn't already been done.

Thanks for the reply. I know of the recall, it looks like the previous owner has taken it in. There seems to be a circuit that plugs into the fan assy. I suppose this is what ford did for the recall. I will give em a call next week and see if I can possibly get some money back. Thanks....
