I have a 1990 coupe, 5.0L, auto, white exterior and porno red interior. It is all original --99% -- and I have all the paperwork for it (including windows sticker, protecto-plate thing, etc). 100k.

I just found out that it is one of 193 made. Do you think it would be worth it to not take this car apart for the 1/4, and keep it in factory stock form? Do you think original cars will ever appreciate?

well if your info is true. it is definately rare... will it be desireable?? who knows. What determines the value of a car is two variables.. the rarity (which you have) and the desireability of that rare combination. Take for instance triple black verts. For some reason these cars bring more money than many other rare cars like yours. Why?? people desire those cars for some reason.

It is your car, and you do with it as you wish..

I dont think its that rare. Hell I have an 89 , red on red. It has 85k orig. miles , has orig. keys , and has the vin tags too. Also I was looking in my trunk and found the orig. lugnut lock key w/ 4 locking lugnuts. Always nice to have a stock car like yours and mine though. :) Nonabused.

Not rare. Do you know how many interior/exterior combinations of fox's there were? Nevermind breaking them all into different categories. Rear gear, sunroof,T5,auto,console, etc etc. ALOT of variables.

there are so many mustangs out there....unless its a 7up car, old school saleen, mcclaren, clean 88 w/ ttops, t-toped coupe, or a 93 cobra r...its just another GT/LX...

It's just the number in that configuration made.

My car is 1 of 346, but it's just a plain jane '88 Mustang....1 of 200,000.

Hack it up!

I think the rarest part of the car is that it is still stock. I can thank lack of funds for that!!

I think I'll do my mods and keep the original parts in a box just in case . . .

hmm...mine was a 50,000 mile 87 GT with t-tops, 5spd, and 3.08s...bone stock...its not rare.

i just helped broncobuddha change one exactly like that to a V8. Black interior on white with a 4cyl... now it's a 5.0.

When I bought my car, it had to be an auto b/c I broke my leg badly and can't push a clutch in to well. So when I found a coupe with an auto, I was so excited, I didn't even ask what color it was while I was on the phone.

When I got there, I was thinking I hope it's black, or at least silver. White/red interior was absolutely my last choice, but the price was great and the car mint.

Everytime I get in the car I think of my granmother's 1984 caddy eldorado with the 4100 engine (GM people will laugh at that part) which had white/red leather.

Not so rare that you'd want to keep it stock just for rarity's sake. Mine's one of 180-something based on the same criteria and there's another one just like it right here in KC.

the only really rare mustang besides the cobras or saleens that i can think of is an 88 t-top stang... they made 500 in 88... and thats the last year for it... i had one but it was really not treated well... i recently sold it

I'll bet my 86 GT, Tan Interior, almost NO option hatch is pretty rare. Tan cloth interior, and the only POWER options are the rear defroster and the gas door popper. No Cruise, even!

Has A/C, PS, and PB. 5 Speed Manual.

The only thing I'm happy about with this car? It's LIGHTER than most! Hack it up!!! ;)
