I just noticed that they look like they go on the same side!! I bought a gasket kit form Autozone and they are all Fel-pro gaskets. THe Head gaskets say front on both of them.,... I put one one the block and went to put the other on and the only way it will fit on there right is if I flip it upside down. Did they screw up with the kit or am I missing something?

Thats exactly the way they are supposed to work. ONe will always be facing down or backwards but you have to make sure the word front is at the front of the motor on both gaskets.
Thanks for clarifying that for me.... does it matter which is upside down? And why wopuld they make something that stupid.... I dont understand why they just would include that in the instructions or oven better... make both of them fit the same way.

If you have stock head bolts.. CHANGE THEM..
They are only made to be used once.
I think the torque is 70 for the lowers and 80 for the uppers.

It doesn't matter which side is upside down as long as front is at the front. If you got a head gasket kit it does say it in the instructions I know because I just did this last week. Torque specs for head bolts depends on which type of bolts you use. ARP has its own torque specs so figure out which type of bolts you are going to use since you should not reuse your stock ones and that will determine torque specs. I think intake is 24lb-ft but should verify in your shop manual.
