Is there a way to know which one is which for the different applications and years. Maybe the color of the plastic tab on the brake pedal switch. Used part places just advertise them as 96 to 04 pedal assemblies for swap to manual. I know there are some differences, but how do i know i'm getting the right one. I need the 99-04 assembly.

From 1996-2004 there are four different pedal assemblies used. All of the them have different brake pedal geometry.

Jack, do you happen to have the measurements to the booster rod stub? I have a few that I have mixed up.

Also, can the brake pedal be swapped between different manual assemblies?

94/95 - same as fox

96-98 - I thought V6 and V8 were the same... no?

99-04 - Definitely different between V6 and V8. V8s slightly different than the 96-98 V8.

Can you tell which on is which. I noticed they have different colored plastic cruise switch clips.

I'm thinking 94/95 V6 and V8 are the same.
96/97/98 V6 different from 96/97 V8
98 V8 pedal cage has different switch mount
99-04 V6 different then 99-04 V8
