I know dont we all........ first off this site is awsome, i have used this place for help on the few mods that i did and it made things so much easier. anyway my question is what is the diffrence between the 80mm plastic and the bullet 77mm chrome Pro-M maf sensor. also what axles do i have on my 96 gt conv, i believe they are still stock, and i was wondering if they were 28 tooth or 31 tooth.

Not sure about the MAF question, but your axles are 28 splines. If I were you, I'd just save my money for the 99 & up heads. Also, why don't you spray? Thats what I'm savin' up for.

All your questions have been answer, don't waste money on MAF, do the headswap. Your stock MAF should support your vehicle up to around 300hp, depending on you application and even higher. How long have you been at hood?

96---I know what you are saying--we all want more hp---HOWEVER I have come to believe the gears are even more important--when I went to 73's it felt like I added about 40 hp and 4.10's go in next week. Our cars are way under geared--slap some 4.10's in there and I promise you it will feel like you have 400hp--good luck ratman

hey.... thanks for all the info. i have been at hood since june of 2000. the great place my a**. anyway i have been wanting to do the head swap thing, and i was told that the 2001 intake and heads would be a good way to go. my problem is i am not even a shade tree mech. and i want to do all this stuff myself. so i guess my question is how much work is involved in head swap, and will a winsor intake and heads work on my romeo block. also i am planing on ordering 4.10s within the next month and i want to get the axel set up with the t-loc. i found one at texasmustangs.com for $769.......is that good?

Well if you don't want to do the head swap buy a used 260hp 4.6l and drop it in. The head design is just horrible for performance on the 96-98 Gt's.

I also agree about the MAF meter. The stock one is damn good.
