I'm looking at replacing the brakes all the way around on the cobra this weekend, and getting the rotors turned.

Is their any specific process for getting the brakes "seated" properly? I've herd guys around talking about it, but I always just figured a few hard stops on the way to work would be just fine.

Yeah you should just kinda get at highway speed 55-60mph and apply a firm steady pressure until you stop. Do this about twice and they should be seated. Don't jam on them but more like you are about to actually stop when the light turns yellow nstead on try to run it, not like a panic stop but a decently quick one

If they are factory ford or motorcraft stlye street pads then I agree with Blue Thunder. If a performance street pad like Hawk HPS then obviously follow the bedding instructions included. this is a Cobra we're talking about here, don't get el-cheapo autoparts store pads, they like to squeak.
