i am buying an 04 mach1 5spd motor day after tomorrow night, it only has 1200 miles on it. it is complete from intake to oil pan and the guy is delivering it to me.

the only thing it is missing is the flywheel and clutch, what else do i need to do the swap?

should i tear it down and put forged pistons and rods in it before i put it in?

it is a 5 spd motor so it should have a 8 bolt forged crank in it already right?

will i still need to have the block machined?

what longtubes do you need for a 04 mach1?

which cc forged pistons and which ones to buy and which rods should i go with for a blower application? i will be putting my novi2000 on it in the future.

what else should i do to it before i put it in?

I cant help you on most of your questions but I would go with a 17cc piston. My prefrance would be either a JE piston or a CP. I have the JE 17cc pistons and a set of Manley h beam rods. Another thing you should do is get a set of new bearings if you decide to put new internals inside. Quick question for you; how do you like your 31 spline trak-loc? Is it holding up good?

it is great for the price, i havent had not one problem out of it since i put it and the mosers in, and best of all it is cheap and easy to attain another one if i break this one.
