Monday will probably be 3G install day and i've heard people needing to put the smaller pulley from the 75 amp alt to get the correct voltage. HOWEVER, I can't find my haynes or chiltons manual because of the typical messy teenager room and I need to know how to change the pulley if necissary. Anyone got an article or something? Thanks

1) put alternator on the ground
2) get impact wrench and appropriate socket (I think it was 13/16?)
3) place foot firmly on alt to make sure it doesnt spin.
4) click trigger and zip off nut.

install is reverse of removal..

if you dont have an impact, bring both alts to a decent parts store and they can swap them for you.

You'll definitely need the impact

Ive loosened the nut with the belt on the alt while still mounted in car before when I didnt have impact gun. Definately easier with gun but not a have to have! If its really stubborn try hitting on ratchet with hammer. It should break free.

Ive always taken mine to auto zone. As long as they arent busy, they'll normally do it no problem. It doesnt hurt to make a purchase during this time either though
